Whether you’re building a new home or setting up a new business, it’s important to understand how to get a new FESCO connection. Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) provides an easy way to get a new electricity connection. You can apply online or at their office with the necessary documents, pay the fees, and have the new electricity connection (enc) by the FESCO team. Now we will discuss both ways in detail.
Requirements for a FESCO New Connection
Before applying for a new connection, you need to gather the required documents that are listed below:
- Attested copy of CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) of the applicant
- Attested copy of witness CNIC
- Proof of ownership or tenancy (property paper or rental agreement)
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) if applicable
- Copy of neighbor’s FESCO Bill
FESCO New Connection offline Application Process
If you prefer not to apply online, here is the step-by-step procedure of offline application process for FESCO new connection meter:
- Visit the FESCO Office: Visit your nearest FESCO office to get the application form or download it from the website.
- Fill the Application Form: Fill Complete form with accurate information, and ensure all the required fields are filled.
- Attach Necessary Documents: Attach copies of all required documents, such as your CNIC, proof of ownership, and NOC.
- Submit the Application: Submit the completed form and documents to the FESCO office.
- Inspection: FESCO will conduct an inspection of your premises to ensure compliance with their standards.
- Approval and Payment: Once your application is approved, you will need to make the required payment for the connection.
- Installation: After payment, FESCO will install the new connection at your premises.
FESCO New Connection online Application Process
The online procedure of application for FESCO new meter are as follows;
- Visit FECSO ENC official website (https://fesco.enc.com.pk/) which is dedicated for FESCO eservices, an application form will be displayed.
- Click on the “apply” button from the left sidebar menu.
- Here you see 4 Fields; Select “FESCO” in the Distribution Company, “Sub-Division” where you are considering applying for an electricity meter, required Category Type of meter, and the reference number of any of your neighbors. Fill all columns.
- A detailed form appears on the screen, now fill all the required fields, and upload all required documents: Attested copy of CNIC, copy of witness CNIC, property paper or rental agreement, NOC, Copy of neighbors FESCO Bill (Maximum file size 300 KB).
- After filling all required fields, submit the application.
- After successful submission, a unique tracking ID will be generated for you. Please note your tracking ID for future reference.
- Click on the print button and enter your tracking ID to print your application form.
- Now take a print of this application form.
- Please attach the required documents with the application and submit them to the nearest FESCO office. Demand notice will be available after verification of your documents. You can download the demand notice by entering your tracking ID on the FESCO ENC website.
- Pay the demand notice in any nearest bank.
- And submit the receipt of the demand notice to the FESCO office.
- After verification of payment, meter connection will be installed.
FESCO New Connection Charges
Cost which includes “Application processing fee”, “Security deposit”, “Pole mounting and service connection charges”, “Meter cost”, “Installation charges for transformer (if required)”, you have to pay for the FESCO new connection meter according to electricity meter type are listed below:
Single Phase (Rural):
- Up to 40 meters: Rs. 4,000
- 41-100 meters: Rs. 4,000 + Rs. 200 per meter
- 101-160 meters: Rs. 16,000 + Rs. 250 per meter
Single Phase (Urban):
- Up to 40 meters: Rs. 4,000
- 41-100 meters: Rs. 4,000 + Rs. 200 per meter
- 101-160 meters: Rs. 16,000 + Rs. 250 per meter
Three Phase (Urban & Rural):
- Up to 40 meters: Rs. 15,000
- 41-100 meters: Rs. 15,000 + Rs. 260 per meter
- 101-160 meters: Rs. 30,600 + Rs. 300 per meter
- 160-280 meters: Rs. 48,600 + Rs. 340 per meter
How to Download FESCO Demand Notice
The step-by-step process for download the demand notice are listed below:
- Visit FECSO ENC official website which is dedicated only for FESCO eservices
- click on the “Print DN” button from the left sidebar menu.
- Choose the application type ( new connection or Change of name/tariff/load).
- Now select the company “FESCO”, and enter your Tracking ID or CNIC number and click on the “submit” button.
- Now the demand notice form is opened, you have the options of download and print.
How to Submit Demand Notice Online
The step-by-step process for submit the demand notice are listed below:
- Visit FECSO ENC official website which is dedicated only for FESCO eservices
- click on the “Upload DN” button from the left sidebar menu.
- Choose the application type ( new connection or Change of name/tariff/load).
- Now select the company “FESCO”, and enter your Tracking ID or CNIC number and click on the “submit” button.
- Now upload the scanned copy of demand notice and click upload.
Time Frame for New Connections According To Connection Type
Required time frame by FESCO for new connection meters according to their connection type are listed below:
- For a 1st category connection with a load up to 15 kW at 400 V, first submit your application with the required documents, which takes about 4 days. After verification, a demand notice is issued in 6 days. The materials are then approved and issued in 11 days. Finally, the meter is installed within 9 days, totaling approximately 30 days for the whole process.
- For a 2nd category connection with a load above 15 kW but not exceeding 70 kW at 400 V, first submit your application with the required documents, which takes about 5 days. After verification, a demand notice is issued in 8 days. The materials are then approved and issued in 25 days. Finally, the meter is installed within 15 days, totaling approximately 53 days for the whole process.
- For a 3rd category connection with a load above 70 kW but not exceeding 500 kW at 400 V, first submit your application with the required documents, which takes about 6 days. After verification, a demand notice is issued in 10 days. The materials are then approved and issued in 20 days. Finally, the meter is installed within 37 days, totaling approximately 73 days for the whole process.
- For a 4th category connection with a load above 500 kW but not exceeding 5000 kW at 11 kV or 33 kV, first submit your application with the required documents, which takes about 10 days. After verification, a demand notice is issued in 20 days. The materials are then approved and issued in 55 days. Finally, the meter is installed within 21 days, totaling approximately 106 days for the whole process.
- For a 5th category connection with all loads at 66 kV and above, first submit your application with the required documents to the CEO’s office, which takes about 30 days. After verification, a demand notice is issued in 15 days. The materials are then approved and issued in 411 days. Finally, the meter is installed within 40 days, totaling approximately 496 days for the whole process.
FESCO New Connection Tracking
You can check the status of your application for a new FESCO connection or Change of name/tariff/load. For checking the current status of your application, you need the unique “Tracking ID” of your application, which was assigned to you after submitting the application form. Step-by-step process for application tracking or current application status, are as follows:

- Choose the application type ( new connection or Change of name/tariff/load).
- Now select the company “FESCO”, and enter your Tracking ID or CNIC number and click on the “submit” button.
Change Connection Name/Tariff/Load
The step-by-step process for Connection Name/Tariff/Load are listed below:
- Visit FECSO ENC official website which is dedicated only for FESCO eservices
- click on the “Change” button from the left sidebar menu.
- Select type (change of name, change of tariff, change of load). You can select more than one option.
- Fill all the required details in the application form.
- Attach the following documents (each file should not exceed 300 KB): A copy of your attested Id , card(applicant’s ID), A copy of your fesco bill, Proof of ownership.
- Now submit the application.
FAQ’s
What if connection is not provided within the given time?
If connection is not provided within the given time, you should file a complaint at the subdivision office.
Is transformer installation cost borne by the consumer?
No, in case of domestic connections FESCO bears transformer installation cost if required. The consumer has to pay the cost for transformer addition/upgradation in case of commercial/industrial connections.
Can connection be upgraded to higher load?
Yes, you can apply for load upgradation anytime by submitting an application and paying the required fee.
